ISB Mastermind: admitStreet’s Exclusive Program to Help You Crack ISB

Introduction

The admissions committee reads thousands of essays a year. They know exactly what a generic, AI-scripted essay sounds like. They don’t want a perfect robot. They want to see you – your authentic voice and your real human impact.

Enter ISB Mastermind, an initiative by admitStreet to help you craft your robust, authentic ISB application.

Through intensive workshops and 1:1 brainstorming sessions, we will break down the mechanics of what ISB really looks for. Then, through confidential 1:1 calls and iterative reviews, we will discuss your life stories, your professional metrics, and your essay drafts, until you hit submit.

What makes admitStreet’s ISB Mastermind different?

  • Senior Partner: You work directly with Arvind Kumar or a designated ISB alum from day one to the final submission. At any point, your essays or life stories are never passed down to a pool of part-time editors or junior reviewers.
  • Deep ISB DNA: Our strategies are built on a deep, intimate understanding of what the ISB Admissions Committee actually looks for year after year. We track the changing essay dynamics, understand the nuances of the multi-campus placement cycles, and know exactly what sets an applicant apart from thousands of lookalike profiles.
  • Proven Track Record with Diverse Profiles: Whether you are a traditional software engineer trying to break out of the IT pool, a Big-4 consultant looking to sharpen your leadership narrative, a non-traditional candidate from an NGO, or a reapplicant looking for a complete strategy overhaul – we’ve cracked the code for profiles just like yours. We don’t use a cookie-cutter approach because we know how to adapt your unique background into a compelling storyline that resonates with the AdCom.
  • Absolute Privacy: Your anecdotes, essays and personal information remain confidential and 1:1, with only you and your mentor having access to these discussions and documents. Group workshops (with a small cohort) are purely for teaching high-level mechanics.

Hear from our ISB admits

For the essays, Arvind (admitStreet) used to nitpick a lot of things, saying, “No, this word does not look good, let’s think about something else.” The nudges were great. After I was shortlisted, he also arranged a mock interview with an ISB alum, which helped me understand how to structure answers, what level of detail to give.

Nikhil Perule

ISB Co’26

admitStreet’s inputs were valuable not only in bringing out the best elements from my experiences, but also narrow down on the most compelling way to present it. Inspite of a tight timeline, the team’s guidance ensured that my application milestones were on track.

Vishnu Gopakumar

ISB Co’26

The StreetMap questionnaire truly laid the foundation for all our work. I referred back to those answers constantly. Even later, when I felt overwhelmed during interview prep, I’d return to that document to ground myself.

Manavi Ahluwalia

ISB, IIM-A & IIM-B admits (2027)

Arvind (admitStreet) was instrumental in helping me build a well-articulated narrative to show how these experiences were connected rather than random, turning the diversity of my experience into a significant USP.

SaiNikita Krishnan

ISB (2027) & Ross admits

Arvind (admitStreet)’s feedback was thoughtful and precise. He didn’t just critique, he collaborated. His strategic guidance and eye for detail ensured my ISB application was not just well-written but truly reflective of who I am and that made all the difference.

Arnab Paul

ISB Co’26

What I loved most was how patient the admitStreet team was. They really took the time to understand me as a person. Their honest feedback and structured 1:1 guidance helped me bring out the best in my application which led to securing the ISB admit as a reapplicant.

Our Working Process for ISB Mastermind

Step 1: The ISB StreetMap™ Questionnaire (Introspection + Offline)

The moment you sign up, you’ll dive into our proprietary StreetMap™ questionnaire, customized for ISB. Think of it as a canvas for your unfiltered thoughts. Built on years of analyzing admissions patterns, it helps you (and us) dig up the hidden gems in your profile. We will review this (even prior to your first session) to discover your unique positioning angles.

Step 2: CV / Resume Transformation (Workshop + 1:1 Call/ Iterations with Mentor)

Your resume (or professional pointers, since ISB doesn’t ask for a CV document this year) is the AdCom’s very first impression of you. After an intensive workshop on how to turn dense corporate jargon into high-impact leadership metrics, the work goes private. You apply the framework, and your mentor provides 1:1 specific feedback on your document, and iterates until it’s submission ready.

Step 3: The Private Anecdote Repository (1:1 Call/ Iterations with Mentor)

Your personal choices, failures, and proudest moments belong to you, and we want to help you bring out the best in the application.

We’ll host a workshop to discuss structure, guidelines, do’s and dont’s for the ISB essays. Subsequently, the mapping of your personal stories happens strictly 1:1. Your mentor works closely with you to validate, refine, and prioritize your story matrix, through a mix of 1:1 calls and iterative feedback.

Step 4: Rigorous Essay Editing (Workshop + 1:1 Call/ Iterations with Mentor)

Your essays stay between you and your mentor. Over comprehensive, deep-dive editing iterations, your mentor helps you sharpen your structure, coherence, and flow. We cut out the fluff and polish your prose until a powerful, authentic narrative emerges.

Our Quality Promise: If an essay needs an extra tactical pass after our usual 3 to 4 iterations to be absolutely perfect, we keep working. We care about the final quality, not tracking the hours.

Step 5: Recommendations (LOR) Review (Workshop + 1:1 Call/ Iterations with Mentor)

Getting a great recommendation takes strategy and work. We give you a clear framework on how to select and brief your recommenders. Your mentor then reviews your LOR outlines privately to ensure your recommenders’ insights complement your essays and highlight your best leadership traits.

Step 6: Final Application & Portal Review (1:1 Review with Mentor)

Before you hit submit, your mentor does a thorough, page-by-page final review of your complete ISB application. We check every text field, employment box, and document upload to make sure everything is clean, typo-free, and ready for submission.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who will be my mentor for the ISB Mastermind program?

You will work directly 1:1 with Arvind Kumar (Founder & Lead Consultant, admitStreet) or a designated ISB alum end-to-end throughout the process. At any point, your essays or life stories are never passed down to a pool of part-time editors or junior reviewers.

Do I need a GMAT/ GRE score to enroll?

Yes, you need a valid GMAT/ GRE score to enroll for the ISB Mastermind.

What if I’m yet to take the GMAT/ GRE?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to onboard you if you don’t have a GMAT/ GRE score. However, if you’ve planned your test date, please mention it in the form and we’ll aim to prioritize your spot (although this can’t be guaranteed) for when you get back to us later (i.e. with your score).

Why do I need to apply for a spot?

Due to the volume of requests we receive and the limited bandwidth of our small team (in order to ensure 1:1 personalized attention), we’re unable to onboard all those who request for a spot. As a result, we’ll limit our total spots to 10-14 per round, making it necessary for you to apply and request for a spot.

Is ISB Mastermind a group mentoring or individual program?

The ISB Mastermind is primarily an individual 1:1 mentoring program where you’ll work directly with Arvind Kumar or a designated ISB alum on your ISB application end-to-end.

However, since there are benefits to conducting workshops for sharing insights, Arvind or the designated ISB alum will conduct workshops in small groups where needed. For example, before you start with your first draft of your essays, our ISB Essay workshop will cover the guidelines of each essay, insights on how to structure each essay, tips on what to do, and mistakes to avoid, etc. Similarly, our ISB LOR workshop will cover the guidelines on who to pick as recommenders, how to approach them, etc.

All your anecdotes, documents (CV/ Essays/ LOR), and personal information will remain completely confidential and 1:1, with only you and your mentor having access to these data and discussions. The group workshops are purely for teaching high-level mechanics.

What’s the duration of the ISB Mastermind program?

Each batch of the ISB Mastermind program runs for 5-6 weeks. This is to ensure we have enough time to create a strong application, while keeping the work intensive and focused.

Do you provide MBA essay editing services? Will admitStreet write my essays?

Our process includes multiple iterations of essay editing and reviews. We work closely with you to refine structure, clarity, and impact until your essays are ready for submission.

Having said that, we don’t ghostwrite essays for our candidates. The stories/anecdotes are yours, and while we strive to help position them in the best way possible (through brainstorming sessions, feedback, iterations and edits, etc.), we don’t ‘write’ your essays. Doing so would not only be unprofessional but also a disservice to the candidate, as you will struggle to stay authentic and connect the dots even if you’re invited for ISB interviews.
